Socks are a more serious fashion statement in Japan since one is frequently removing ones shoes (homes, restaurants, business, you name it). I have upgraded my sock collection to include some jazzier, more vibrant selections. So, if you plan to visit us sometime in the future you might want to look at your socks and review them for wear (no holes allowed) and variety. Socks can tell many stories I have learned... think about it!
